The American Red Cross is hosting a day on September 27th from 10am until 2pm to install FREE smoke alarms in our community.

Working smoke alarms can cut the risk of death from home fires in half. That’s why the Red Cross is rallying volunteers, fire departments and partners to Sound the Alarm.

Family members and those raised in Linesville Borough or Pine Township and those who are graduates from the local schools that have served or are currently serving in the military are invited to submit a completed form and digital photo for our Military Hero Banners. Forms are available at the Linesville Borough office or on our website and should include your service member or veterans rank, name, branch, and the family/sponsor name. Cost is $240 per flag and includes brackets. Options for banner placement are E. Erie St., Penn St., and S. Mercer St. and will be put up in May and taken down in September of each year.
